Meet the founder, Harvey Bergman

The Bergman family has owned and operated businesses in the Cincinnati area since the early 1900s. Bergman’s modern-day history starts with Harvey Bergman. In 1947, Harvey began working for H. Zussman & Son, a dry goods wholesaler which then branched out into clothing manufacturing. Harvey took over manufacturing operations and later became a principal and owner. From there the concept of a national brand expansion began which became Bergman Manufacturing Co.

In 1990, Harvey became active in the commercial real estate industry pursuing the construction and development of office, retail, multi-family, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties. At this time Bergman Group, Inc. was established. Harvey Bergman was then joined by son Laurence Bergman, sons-in-law Steven Adler, vice president of property management and development and Daniel Feigelson, vice president of finance and administration, and son Thomas Bergman, a real estate attorney.

In 2005, Bergman Group, Inc. was selected as the exclusive NAI member firm for the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area, and is now known as NAI Bergman. Laurence Bergman, president of NAI Bergman said, “Through NAI’s managed network of affiliated real estate professionals, we now have the ability to provide the same quality service to our clients but on a global scale. With the technology, expertise and reach of NAI, we can now handle client needs from a single tenant lease transaction to meeting an international corporation’s property acquisition needs.”

Harvey Bergman’s memory continues to inspire the partners, associates, and employees of NAI Bergman.
