Target opening at U Square!

According to channel 9 WCPO, Target will soon open near the University of Cincinnati. We are expected to see the urban-format store coming to U Square in July of 2017. The store will be stocked with fresh groceries, home merchandise focusing on dorm and apartment living, sports team merchandise, men’s and women’s apparel and more.

“An urban Target would work,” Economic Development Director Oscar Bedolla told WCPO in June. “We’ve got the daytime population that exceeds other cities our size and the residential market is growing. Plus, people want convenience. With some of the higher-end units coming on line, people want to be able to walk out their door and find available retail.”

U Square is a new development that includes 80,000 square feet of retail space. With everything at your fingertips including apparel, fitness, dining, drink venues and one-of-a-kind shops Cincinnati and the University of Cincinnati is seeing a tremendous value brought by the developer and manager, Towne Properties.

We make sure that our communities are well-designed, well-built, and well-managed in order to create “Great Places to Live, Work, Shop, and Play.”

Also included in the U Square development is the nearly $14 million Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Hotel. The six-story hotel with 115 guest rooms is located at 2500 S. Market St. in the heart of the $80 million U Square development. The development team, USquare Hotel LLC, is made up of Oxford-based Hotel Development Services LLC, the principals of commercial real estate firm NAI Bergman, and Kingsley + Co., the minority-owned company founded by former Cincinnati Bengals player Chinedum Ndukwe. American Hospitality Management LLC is the hotel management company.
