NAI Bergman presents The Righteous Brothers’ Bill Medley to help raise financial support for Cincinnati Public Schools.
The Righteous Brothers’ Bill Medley preformed at the Creative Performing Arts campus on Thursday, September 10, 2015. In keeping with his Grammy Award-winning song, “(I’ve Had) the Time of My Life,” Bill Medley not only preformed the top hits of his career, but also entertained attendees with colorful, personal stories and humor. Medley, who performed as one half of The Righteous Brothers with partner Bobby Hatfield (who passed away in 2003), sang songs “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’,’’ “Unchained Melody,” “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life (from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack, which he sang in duet with his 28-year-old daughter, McKenna Medley), “(You’re My) Soul and Inspiration,” and more.
Activities Beyond the Classroom and its Executive Director, Brian Leshner, joined the effort. “Activities Beyond the Classroom supports Cincinnati Public School students with diverse extracurricular activities that complement their academic career building. We are excited to have Bill Medley, a musical overachiever and legend, support ABC and the District. Funds raised through ticket sales and the generosity of sponsors will benefit extracurricular activities for SCPA and Cincinnati Public Schools.”
The event was presented by NAI Bergman, a commercial real estate development, brokerage and property management firm who has worked with Cincinnati Public Schools for a number of years in selling older school buildings that were replaced with new facilities across the District. “I am working with Bill Medley on real estate development outside of our area. I asked if he would be interested in helping a charitable cause; would he be willing to perform in Cincinnati. Bill Medley was most gracious”, says Laurence Bergman, President of NAI Bergman. Laurence Bergman, and his partners chose to raise awareness for Cincinnati Public School programs and underwrote bringing the Righteous Brother and his group to Cincinnati to help support charitable giving targeted to benefit CPS students.
